1. I switched gym memberships from a commercial gym to the local Y, and I am so happy I did. The Y has so many more fitness classes (which I really enjoy), a sauna, and the benefit that I can use any other Y in the country. Also, this Y has the most amazing locker room I've ever seen. There's a workout room IN THE LOCKER ROOM, with a few cardio machines and free weights. There's a sitting room type area with a water cooler and a TV. And there's a whole room set aside just for a vanity-type space, with blow dryers and towels provided. Done and done. Most of all, I like the vibe better and the notion that my money is going to a non-profit organization that is building into my community.

2. I had Chipotle tonight for dinner for the first time in a long time and it tasted amazing.

3. I am fervently scouring the internet for the best gluten-free dessert ever, as I have been charged with making one for the family party this weekend. So many dessert contenders, so little room for failure....

4. My sister's hair is pink and I really am jealous of her cause she can pull off pink hair. I see her photos on facebook and I wish I was the kind of girl who can pull off pink hair. I'm definitely not.

5. I was getting ready to run the other day and was untangling my earphones. Penny saw the dangling wire and thought I was trying to play so she leapt up and latched onto my leg as if I were her very own cat pole. As a result, I have four little dot-scrapes that resemble a paw print on my leg. It's funny now but at 5:45 am on Monday? NOT funny.

6. I am running outside again! My first outdoor run of the season was on Monday and I shaved 2 minutes off of my treadmill time.

7. I am so looking forward to going to Chicago next weekend. I am sort of afraid I will just cry because of how much I still miss my city. But, we have dinners and get-togethers lined up with friends and a long list of places to eat, shop, and be and I am counting the days.

8. I recently learned that Columbus has more cloudy days annually than Seattle. Good thing I didn't know that before I moved here or I might not have been persuaded to do so. There are a LOT of overcast days here, y'all.
